Traveling To Shul Every Shabbat

Traveling on foot, sure-footedness to Shul every Shabbat, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: it is march to Shul, an easy sauntering, a wonderful walk, like "The Saints Go Marching In..." An angel messenger emails me to make sure of my attendance, the minyan must be counted, I am in the count, I am one of the numbers, I am part of the ten. Ten or above, we always need at least ten. Ten handsome soldiers, ten gurus, ten angels, ten. What is the number 10? It is one number less than 11. 11 is the magic number that contains two ones. 11. Double one. One God, double One God means we really believe it! We will not cause the Almighty ONE God to be a jealous God, we will always worship only ONE. Echad. Our minyan has 10 so we can worship only ONE. We need numbers, but all we need is ten. There are tens of gathers around the world, ten at a time, or 9 + The Torah. A Rabbi counts as only one. S/he is counted in equality with the rest of us, a leader who is equal to the others. We foster equality--Priests count as only one too. We can have a minyan without a Priest. We can have a minyan without a Priest or a Rabbi, and women count in the minyans. We count each other and we care about numbers. Numbers are our masses, we have more because we have less. Some of us have mathematical brains, others do not. But we always count, whether it is with a calculator or not. We as people on Earth have a great significance and we count and are counted. My father was an accountant. Therefore, I am counted.
