Traveling to The World-Of-Gift-Giving today, where I can give out gifts freely and in doing so make someone happy, someone who appreciates receiving it and someone who thanks me for my kindness. Giving a gift to someone who without it otherwise would not be as happy, would not have a gain, would not be as lucky. Handing out free candy is such a simple kind act to do, putting a butter cream into someone's open wanting palm is all it takes to make a friend, and do it with a big smile! Say "Do you want a piece of candy?" And plop it into their palm! Watch them act like children, and see their happiness spread in a giant grin upon a former sullen face, watch their face suddenly shine, with wide open eyes and a sincere "thank you" upon their lips. It feels good to be good, to do good, to do mitzvoth, to make someone's day. All it takes is generosity and action. Someone out there will appreciate what you do, and say something nice in return. Or give anonymously, without getting a visible reward, but knowing deep down in your heart that what you gave away was exactly what someone wanted and needed. Give a little, and receive a little. Showing lovingkindness is all it takes, is what it is all about.
