TRAVELING TO MOUNT SINAI

Mount Sinai is at your computer as you check your Facebook page for news of your friends, to be in touch with a community over miles in many different countries, to climb up to its top as you kindly click on "like" at an uploaded posting on Facebook that is news of a friend's success, a supportive gesture to let him know you care.

Mount Sinai is the place where you go everyday where you are doing what you love to be doing. It is the place of your "calling," a place where you use your talents to better the world around you. If you are an actor then Mount Sinai is at your playhouse, if you are a writer then Mount Sinai is at your computer, if you are an artist then Mount Sinai is at your easel, if you are a musician then Mount Sinai is behind your musical instrument at your musical production.

To do what you love to do everyday, is to be atop the greatest mountain of all mountains, atop Mount Sinai. Creatively in the humanities, you like Moses receives the word of G-d, the tablets of the Commandments, something which you found after a brainstorm at a burning bush brilliant in its passionate flames, a word of G-d, a strike like lightening into your brain, a vision of a way to do tikkun olam with the health of your existence as the tool to spread these holy words, to sing them or chant them, to write them, to hum or shout or whisper them.

Knowing the words of loving-kindness as mantras to always put peace behind your steps, to find a peaceful way to change your world, to do it daily, working hard at being atop Mount Sinai everyday in all that you do, say, and believe.
