Traveling today to this place of trees where all the leaves on these trees are different colors of the rainbow, a rainbow of leaves on these trees after a rainstorm, a rainstorm with water that was sucked up by the root system of these trees after praying for rain to wet the gardens of the Earth, as we did on the Jewish Holiday of Sukkot.
After these rains we prayed to G-D to satisfy thirst, to provide a drink to these trees, the trees then are able to become Trees of Life, Etz Hayyim, a tree that no longer thirsts, a tree being blessed, as we are blessed with enough sustenance to have the strength to study Torah.
After this rain we prayed for on Sukkot, we yet read about the excessive rains that poured upon the Earth at the time of Noach, drowning wickedness, washing away dirt, ugliness, a raven and a flock of doves to then fly away with the disappearance of the flood.
The leaves of trees in our gardens drinking waters, not drowned in these waters, trees digging their Jewish faith family roots deeply into the ground, spreading colorful leaves higher with higher goals, leaves like fingers of hands attached to branches of trees like arms.
When we wash our hands and sing the Hebrew Hand-Washing Blessing we too raise our arms with our hands reaching into the clouds to feel the Throne of G-D, hands wet like leaves after a rainstorm, raising our status as we raise our arms, clean, refreshed, dampened, dirt washed away, purity of thoughts and actions.
Then to apply the water to our lips, lips wet to kiss The Lord with moistened lips.
A crown of golden leaves up around our head, a halo, a time to feel Angels as they blow in the wind with the leaves as they blow, singing the song "Blowing In The Wind," dancing with Angels surrounded by leaves blowing as you sing!
Keeping the best most colorful leaf you find and pressing it into a book, a leaf becoming a bookmark marking the pages, the study of Torah, a colorful leaf of red or gold saving your place, reading Words of Wisdom, thousands of years ago.
A new leaf with an old idea, an idea not to be forgotten, history, to put color into our lives as do the autumn leaves.
Reading Words of The Torah to increase intelligence, to better one's ethics, to be the rainbow of color in our lives when there is no rain, no trees and no color in the leaves.
An idea with a color, a holy Word with a color, our lives blessed with color.
