The game of Bingo and BBQ'ued Kosher Beef Brisket. Why is this so appealing? What is it about Bingo and beef that gives us such a rush, a time of joy, a time to be happy, and a time to check in with God? How is God associated with the game of Bingo in a crowd? If we have a regular routine of Bingo games, will this bring us closer to Heaven when we die, is Bingo actually Heaven on Earth?
To hear the numbers and letters called out as if we are at an auction and bidding on a Rembrandt that is selling for $500.00, we can win it or we can lose it, depending on how much money we have compared with others. To play the State Lotto, to play to win. To be as competitive as a Debate team player, to want to win, to have it as your extreme desire, to want to win so bad you call upon God to help you win. Sometimes He adheres and sometimes not.
But, it is now, at a game, a game played for a prize, a cash or goods reward, now we want to win. Now to check in with God to help us in all we do, including playing a simple fun game of Bingo.
