THE PLACE OF MOTHER'S MILK

Traveling today to The Place of Mother's Milk. Milky white in purity, not to ever be mixed to be polluted with meat, never to boil a kid in its Mother's milk. Mothers and their children, their kids, the holy union of mother and child.

To then be in Bar/Bat Mitzvah and to grow up, to be weaned, to stand next to your Mother as a weaned child, having your Mother exude with pride at your accomplishments. Having a Mother who urges you on to be the best person you can be. Being an "adult child" of a Mother, switching in roles as you take on the care of an elderly person, to be there financially and in the care of your Mother as she ages and needs you. To grow up as you become her nurturer and your roles switch.

To see your Mother as a holy being, the womb that gave you birth, the teachings that gave you ethics, the kindness that you felt in her presence through her words and actions. A shrine of some sorts in her body that housed you for 9 months.

To have not just "honor" for your Mother, but to have awe. To see your Mother as awesome, as you see G-d to be too. To show reverence for your Mother, as you show reverence for G-d. To learn how to worship G-d by the actions of your reverence and honor of your Mother.

To be held again in her arms as a baby, to be cradled, to be tucked into bed at night. To be served your favorite foods at her dinner table, to see her smile and to be comforted by your Mother's love, your Mother's milk.
